Coming, February 5-7....Hub City Weekend. The weekend will include games, food, worship, and hands on ministry. Tom Richter will be speaking and Craig Rigney will be leading music. All you have to do to sign up is fill out a card and drop it in the box in the Loft. Encounter CHRISTMAS VACATION!- Wednesday, December 16th in the loft @ West Jackson! Take a vacation from School and join the Griswalds and the rest of us for some Christmas Caroling, Reindeer Games, and a Christmas Dinner. It will be a Christmas Party Vacation you will never forget. It all starts at 5:30 pm sharp.

ENCOUNTER GOES COUNTRY.....Wednesday, November 11th, 5:30 pm at the Absher's barn....for all students grades 7-12... Stuff you will need: $2 for food and your own blanket and/or fold-out chair if you want one. Meet us at the barn at 5:45 pm or meet us at the Courts no later than 5:35 pm if you need a ride. *Don't forget to dress warm!

This week at Encounter we will continue the study entitled "What lies beneath". Senior High will begin in the Loft and Junior High will begin with CHIGGLE in the Grow room. It all starts at 6pm. Food will be available at 5:30 for $2.

Some events you won't want to miss...

Parent Link Family Picnic... this coming Sunday, October 4th. The picnic is for all teenagers and their families. Immediately following the morning worship service, we will head out to the softball fields/pavilion area here at West Jackson. We will eat then play softball, kickball, frisbee or whatever! We will provide the food-you bring your family and prepare to have some fun!

CITYWIDE is back....October 7th! This year's event will feature illusionist Brock Gill (performing at 7pm) and also include a slam dunk competition and block party food and music. It is free for ALL middle and high school students. The event will be held at Fellowship Bible Church on Wednesday, Oct 7th from 6-9pm!

48Hours-A weekend retreat for students! November 6-8 @ Camp Linden. More details to come....

What is CHIGGLE? It is an exciting and up-beat time for middle school students to play games and interact with their friends before going into small groups and worship. Chiggle meets every Wednesday night from 6 to 6:30.

Encounter is back for the fall! Every Wednesday night we will gather in the Loft area for some crazy games, great music, and a relevant message. We will also connect you with other students and a leader in a small group setting. It all begins this coming Wednesday, September 2nd @ 6pm in the Loft. Mark your Calendar....West Jackson Block Party....coming, August 26th @ 5:30pm. The night will feature a quad bungee trampoline, air brushed t-shirts, food, inflatables and music-all on the back-lot at WJBC!

*Please pray for our team of students and adults who will be serving in Guatemala this coming week. The team will be working with a children's home in Guatemala that cares for and raises over 381 orphaned, abused, and mistreated children. The daily schedule will involve maintaining and working on the children's home, teaching in different ministry track times and leading times of worship and fellowship for the children.

Next week (9.17.08) at encounter, the simple life continues. There will be a slight change on the menu: cheeseburgers and pizza for $2.
