Preschool Ministry Calendar of Events
Preparation for Sunday: Talk about church throughout the week and on your way to church. Mention friends and teachers they will see at Sunday School. Be positive! Your attitude is catching!
Security Cards & Pagers: Please register at the front desk before entering the rooms. Pick up your child's security card and pager at the desk. This procedure is for the safety of your child. Preschoolers will be released only to a parent presenting their security card at the end of the service.
At the Door: Knock at the classroom door. A teacher will greet your child. Parents are asked to remain outside the classroom to avoid interrupting the session or upsetting another child. Please avoid checking on your child between sessions. If your child should need you, we will page you.
How Parents Can Help:
- Be regular in your attendance. Consistency is the key to your child's spiritual growth.
- Children, birth through three years of age, are encouraged to attend Sunday School and Extended Care. The atmosphere created within the preschool department is designed to encourage the spiritual development of the young child. It is difficult to expect babies through 3 years olds to sit quietly throughout the worship service. Their presence can be disruptive and distracting to other worshippers.
- Four year olds are ready to begin learning how to attend the worship service. They will need the parent's loving guidance and instruction.
- For safety reasons, do not allow preschoolers or young children to leave the worship service alone.
