Participation
The facility is open to West Jackson Baptist Church members, guests, and visitors. Members are encouraged to invite others as their guests to use the facility.
West Jackson Members - Members of West Jackson, its Bible Study team, or anyone enrolled in a ministry of West Jackson.
Guests – Guests are individuals not enrolled in a ministry program at West Jackson but are hosted by a member. Guests are asked to fill out a Guest Card each time they come. Our guests are very important to us, and we want to receive them with all the warmth and friendship that is such a vital part of the life of West Jackson.
Visitors - Visitors are individuals who are with outside groups, such as teams from other churches or spectators with other teams, etc. Visitors will not be required to sign in, but the sponsor of the group needs to sign in at the Recreation Desk.
*Underage children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Dress and Behavior
Proper use of the facility and equipment is the responsibility of each member and guests. This will help to insure everyone’s enjoyment, safety, and security.
The recreational facility is used to glorify God. For this reason, each person involved should “in all thy ways acknowledge Him.” Proverbs 3:6
The recreational facility is a ministry of WJBC. In the interest of influencing others for Christ, the speech, dress, and conduct of all church members, guests, and visitors will be in accordance with the highest Christian standards.
Any accident, injury, or equipment / facility problems should be reported to the personnel at the Recreation Desk or to the Recreation Director.
Any disciplinary problems will be dealt with on an individual basis by the Recreation Staff and / or Recreation Director.
Recreation Facility Hours
The recreation facility hours of operation are posted on the door of the facility. Any change in hours will be posted on all doors entering the COURTS facility.
Because of the many seasonal activities and the wide variety of events, the recreational facility hours of operation may vary.
Since the recreational facility is a support ministry of West Jackson, the recreational facility schedule will not conflict with the WJBC schedule.
Open Gym will be available to members and non-members. The hours will be designated as the following:
Mon, Thurs, & Friday: 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Equipment
All equipment will be checked out at the Recreation Desk. Individuals or groups that check out equipment or property will be financially responsible for equipment that is damaged, lost, destroyed, or stolen.
Liability
The use of the recreation facility and all equipment will be at the risk of the participant. West Jackson Baptist Church does not assume liability or responsibility for any participant. West Jackson Baptist Church does not make any express or implied warranty of the premises, the equipment, machinery, fixtures, or furniture.
Reservations
West Jackson Baptist Church Groups and Bible Study Teams will have priority in reserving any of the facilities within Recreation Ministry. WJBC groups may make application to reserve specific areas of the recreation facility through the Recreation Director. All reservations must be made through the Recreation Director at least two weeks in advance. All reservations will be coordinated with the existing schedule.
There is a reservation form that must be filled out with the assistance of the recreational staff or Recreation Director. This form is available at the control desk.

The priority used for determining the use of the building shall be:
- Churchwide Events
- Scheduled recreation programs and classes
- WJBC Organizations
- Associational or Church Leagues in which we participate
- Outside Groups approved by the Minister of Recreation and the Executive Staff
Outside groups must request reservations for the recreation facility through the Recreation Director at least 30 days in advance.
