Stan and Debra Owens-Hughes
Missionaries to Bogota, Columbia
Our current missionaries are the Owens-Hughes family. They will be staying in our missionary residence from July 15, 2009, through January 15, 2010.
Stan and Debra Owens-Hughes have served with the International Mission Board since 1988, ministering in Brazil, Aruba, Venezuela and Colombia. They have worked in the areas of Christian Social Ministries, Church Planting and Chronological Biblical Storying. The Owens-Hughes family has lived the last four years in Bogota, Colombia where they reach out to Colombian Indigenous refugees who are in and around Bogota. Stan is originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma and Debra is the daughter of IMB emeritous missionaries Carlos and Myrtice Owens who served 36 years in Africa, where Debra grew up. Stan and Debra have four children, Mikaela (21), Carlos (18), Sierra (16) and Zachary (15).
Missionaries currently serving in IMB, Kenya, Africa, will be coming back to stay in our missionary residence for the month of November 2010. (They were in our residence May and June 2009.)
