Seeking God’s Will,    Being God’s Church

REPENTANCE, CONFESSION, CLEANSING

Scripture: If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. James 1: 8,9

Reflection: Are there “little sins” in your life that you try to ignore? Do you excuse some sins because “everyone else does them?” Are you guilty of seeing the shortcomings in others while turning away from those in your own life?

Prayer: Show me my sins. Open my eyes that I may see myself in the light of Your holiness and righteousness. Convict me of my wayward thoughts, attitudes and actions. Have mercy on me a sinner. Forgive my errant heart and give me strength to turn from my sin and be cleansed by Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, oh Lord, for the promise of Your grace and mercy.
