What is the role of parents in the student ministry? We believe that the parents should primarily be the disciplers of their students and families. We want to help you, encourage you, and partner with you as you work to disciple the students in your home.


How can I contact the Student Ministry Staff? Just click on the "staff" tab to get individual staff email addresses, or call the Student Ministry Office at (731) 660-4535 anytime throughout the week.

 

What are the weekly activities offered for students grades 7-12?

-Encounter meets every Wednesday night at 6:15 pm in the Loft at West Jackson. It is for all students grades 7-12 and includes some games, music and a relevant message. After the message, your student will be connected with a leader and a group of students their age for a small group discussion time. Food is available each week at 5:45. (cost for food is $2)

-Inword Life meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 am. (during the Sunday School hour) Students will be divided into age and gender specific groups with an adult leader to spend some time studying Scripture. Inword life meets in the Loft at West Jackson.

 

What are some of the events offered throughout the year for 7-12 graders? The Student Ministry offers several events during the year to help students encounter Christ, grow in their relationship with Christ and equip them to share Christ with others. Some of the scheduled events include a fall retreat (at a nearby retreat site), a local spring semester retreat (called Hub City Weekend), summer camps for both junior high and high school students and an International Mission Trip. (International trips are offered every other summer)
