Any person may offer himself as a candidate for membership. However, it is important that he confer with the pastor. Preferably, this would be done in a private conference, but it may be accomplished at the time of his being presented. The candidate may be presented to the church at any regular service of the church for membership on one of the following conditions:
- By profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whether at the time of presentation or at an earlier time, and by baptism as described in the New Testament.
- On promise of a letter of recommendation from another Baptist church of like faith and order.
- By request of restoration upon the candidate's statement of prior conversion experience and baptism in a Baptist church of like faith and order when no letter is obtainable.
- By watchcare of a person from another Baptist church of like faith and order.
